Project Background
Blake’s Corner Bar is the quintessential local pub. Warm wooden interior, a great range of beer, ale and whiskey, fantastic bar food and the friendliest staff in Galway city. It is the sister establishment and pre drink venue for the Brasserie on the Corner, which is next door. The focus here is classic Irish bar serving great food with an emphasis towards stocking and serving great whiskey. It is one of 11 establishments affiliated to the Galway Whiskey Trail.
The Work
My work supported Blake’s Bar with print, advertisements, promotional printed material, digital media and menus for both food and drink, with a particular focus on whiskey menus. Special promotions and events were common and I often worked closely with the bar’s general manager, the marketing manager and the related promotion organisers to design the required deliverables for some very successful events.
